Is hiring picking up at startups?

Hiring at startups, which are traditionally cash-strapped and conservative with new headcount additions, is a good indicator of the economy’s direction.  According to numbers from the National Venture Capital Association (NVCA) and job board, hiring has increased 16 percent at startups listed by StartUpHire since the end of 2009.  There have been good indicators in the tech sector more generally that hiring is picking up—mostly from some of the larger, more notable companies like Google and Twitter.
